Description
Large yellow flowers with droopy petals attract many pollinators from July through September. Native to central and eastern US. Prefers full sun to partial shade, and medium to dry-medium soil. Easy to grow, drought tolerant. Height: 5′.
Seedlings come in 3 1/8″ bio-degradable pots.
A word about native plants: perennial plants, often with deep roots. Transplant them carefully as they dislike root disturbance. They are slow growing, and will not flower until the second year or later.
