Violet blossoms appear in July through September, nicely complementing the many yellow composite flowers of late summer (Black-Eyed Susan, Helianthus). Native to most of North America with medicinal benefits. Prefers full sun to partial shade, adaptive to most soil conditions. Height: 4′.
Seedlings come in 3 1/8″ bio-degradable pots.
A word about native plants: perennial plants, often with deep roots. Transplant them carefully as they dislike root disturbance. They are slow growing, and will not flower until the second year or later.
