Long-lasting fragrant blooms looking like small crowns. Spreads less aggressively than Common Milkweed. Its native range extends mostly west of the Mississippi River where it can be found in prairies and savannas. Prefers full sun, can handle most soil types. Attract hummingbirds and many pollinators. Height: 4′.
Seedlings come in 3 1/8″ bio-degradable pots.
A word about native plants: perennial plants, often with deep roots. Transplant them carefully as they dislike root disturbance. They are slow growing, and will not flower until the second year (or later).
