Description

Rosy pink flowers with sweet, vanilla scent mature in mid-spring blooming into early fall. Native to central and eastern USA. Tends to grow in wet sites along streams, ponds or bogs. Important food source for the monarch butterfly caterpillars and many pollinators. Use in a naturalized area, pollinator garden or along a pond or stream in full sun to partial shade. Height: up to 5′.
Seedlings come in 3 1/8″ bio-degradable pots.

A word about native plants: perennial plants, often with deep roots. Transplant them carefully as they dislike root disturbance. They are slow growing, and will not flower until the second year (or later)
