Description
Appears similar to Common Milkweed, but less aggressive with slightly smaller, very fragrant flowers. Visited by hummingbirds and a wide variety of bees and butterflies. Prefers full sun and medium-moist soil. Develops deep taproot making it difficult to move, so choose your spot well. Height: 3′.
Seedlings come in 3 1/8″ bio-degradable pots.
A word about native plants: perennial plants, often with deep roots. Transplant them carefully as they dislike root disturbance. They are slow growing, and will not flower until the second year (or later)
