Description
A native ornamental grass with attractive blue-green foliage. Purplish bronze seed heads and yellow-orange leaves make for great fall interest in the landscape. Performs best in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun, but can do well in moist situations, too. Attractive planted en masse and would make an excellent addition to a rain garden. Readily reseeds. Height: 3′.
Seedlings come in 3 1/8″ bio-degradable pots.
A word about native plants: perennial plants, often with deep roots. Transplant them carefully as they dislike root disturbance. They are slow growing, and will not flower until the second year or later.
