Description
Scarlet bracts almost hide small, greenish flowers and appear to have been dipped in paint. Typical bloom type is May and June, but because of its annual or biennial nature, flowers can bloom into late fall. Prefers full sun with well drained soil. A partial root parasite that needs to be planted with seeds of other plants, usually a grass, and that’s how you will receive your seedling from us. Height: 2′.
Seedlings come in 3 1/8″ certified organic, bio-degradable pots.
A word about native plants: perennial plants, often with deep roots. Transplant them carefully as they dislike root disturbance. They are slow growing, and will not flower until the second year or later.
